Nehemia 8:1

Konteks
8:1 all the people gathered together 1  in the plaza which was in front of the Water Gate. They asked 2  Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses which the LORD had commanded Israel.

Nehemia 8:6

8:6 Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God, and all the people replied “Amen! Amen!” as they lifted their hands. Then they bowed down and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.

8:13 On the second day of the month the family leaders 3  met with 4  Ezra the scribe, together with all the people, the priests, and the Levites, to consider the words of the law.

[12:44]  6 tc The translation reads מִשְּׂדֶי (missÿde, “from the fields”) rather than the MT reading לִשְׂדֵי (lisdey, “to the fields”).

[12:44]  7 tn Heb “for Judah.” The words “the people of” have been supplied in the translation for clarity, since “Judah” is a proper name as well as a place name.

[12:44]  8 tn Heb “standing.”
